PMLN leaders misogynistic remarks: Reham Khan appreciates Shehbaz Sharif’s apology
Urges others to follow example
London (Pakistan Point News – 2nd May, 2018) Punjab Chief Minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) president Shehbaz Sharif had apologized over Rana Sanaullah’s misogynistic remarks about Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) women.
In a tweet, Shehbaz said, “PMLN acknowledges and encourages the role of women in national politics. Any statement demeaning them is highly irresponsible.
We have to maintain decency and element of respect in political discourse. I apologize for anti-women remarks made by some party leaders.”
Reacting on this tweet, PTI chairman Imran Khan’s ex-wife Reham Khan has said that it is good of Shehbaz Sharif to apologize and urged others should follow this example.
