Speaker Ayaz Sadiq denies rumors about Nawaz Sharif going to jail
Says the people talking about Nawaz Sharif getting imprisoned need to think rationally
Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 24th Apr, 2018) Veteran journalist Arif Nizami has asked National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq about the authenticity of the rumors that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif is going to jail.
He asked if there would not be any chaos in the country in case Nawaz Sharif is sentenced then why he says that a sea of people will emerge if there is a court verdict against him.
Responding to the questions, Speaker Sadiq said that the people who are talking about Nawaz Sharif getting imprisoned need to think rationally.
“Such people should prove the allegations against him first. However, Nawaz Sharif has himself announced not to contest elections. He will not leave his party and his country in any case,” he said.
The National Assembly speaker further said that nothing could be proved in the cases against Nawaz Sharif in National Accountability Bureau. “That’s why I think the chatter about Nawaz Sharif going to jail is all baseless,” he added.
