CTD arrests extortionist in Peshawar
The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested an extortionist during an operation in the provincial capital on Saturday
Peshawar, (Pakistan Point News - 24th Feb, 2018) : The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested an extortionist during an operation in the provincial capital on Saturday. The CTD spokesman said that on a tip-off, operation was conducted at Landi Sarak, Charsadda Road ,Peshawar.
During operation, an extortionist Ibrahim was arrested. The detainee claiming to be member of a banned outfit had demanded extortion money from a citizen residing in suburbs of Peshawar. On refusal to pay extortion money, the accused had conducted blast by planting explosives outside his residence.
