Kiev Reacted Positively to Moscow's Peace Proposals Causing West's Dissatisfaction - Putin
MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 21st September, 2022) Kiev initially reacted positively to Moscow's proposals during the talks in Istanbul after the start of the special military operation in Ukraine, but the West was dissatisfied with a possible peace settlement and instructed Kiev to "break the reached agreements," Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday.
"After the start of the special military operation, the delegation from Kiev reacted to our proposals quite positively, including at the talks in Istanbul. But the West was obviously dissatisfied with the peace settlement and after the agreements had been reached, Kiev was directly instructed to reject them. Ukraine has been pumped with weapons a lot more," Putin said in the televised address.
