Russia's Bastion Missile Systems Conduct Training Strikes on Black Sea Targets - Ministry

SIMFEROPOL (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 23rd September, 2021) The Russian Black Sea Fleet has drilled its Bastion division of coastal missile systems to carry out strikes on sea targets in Crimea, the Russian defense ministry said on Thursday.

"The exercises of the combat crews of the Bastion missile systems of the Black Sea Fleet were carried out at the Opuk training ground in Crimea.

The tasks of detecting and destroying training naval targets with anti-ship missile launches were worked out," a statement read.

The distant conditional enemy targets � two large shipboard target shields � were tracked down by drowns and targeted with Bastion missiles, the ministry said.

The exercise was conducted in line with the combat training plan of the fleet within the framework of joint maneuvers of ships of the Crimean and Novorossiysk naval bases of the Black Sea Fleet taking place in the Black Sea, according to the statement.
