Pakistani father forgives son's Indian killers

ABU DHABI, (Pakistan Point News – 27th March, 2017) : A Pakistani father residing in United Arab Emirates (UAE) has forgiven the killers of his son. Reportedly, Farhan was killed in Abu Dhabi in 2015 and 10 convicts of his murder were sentenced to death.

Under the Sharia law, an appeal against the death penalty was filed in the court to pay blood money to the victim’s family, and the family to pardon the murderers in return. Farhan's father, currently living in Peshawar has agreed to the blood money of 2 lac Durhams, however the court has not ruled on the pardon decision yet.

This reconciliation is being carried out by a not-for-profit organisation run by an Indian businessman.
