SDAIA Harnesses Data, AI Solutions to Serve Pilgrims during 1446 AH Hajj Season

Jeddah, May (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز ‎‎‎ 29 مايو 2025ء) SDAIA's technical team is operating in 12 airports across those eight countries to ensure uninterrupted operations and smooth workflows, providing around-the-clock technical and IT support throughout the Hajj season.

This year, SDAIA contributed to developing the unified digital platform for Hajj permits, the “Tasreeh Platform,” launched by the Ministry of Interior. The platform integrates with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah's Nusuk Hajj Platform and enables pilgrims from inside and outside the Kingdom to obtain permits to enter Makkah and the holy sites. It also facilitates entry for workers, volunteers, and their vehicles, with permits viewable via the national “Tawakkalna” app.

A new service was also launched, enabling pilgrims to view their permits for this year through the Tawakkalna app via integration with the Tasreeh Platform. This streamlines access to all types of Hajj permits issued by relevant government agencies.

Among the key technical infrastructures supporting this year’s Hajj is the Smart Makkah Operations Center (SMART MOC), based at SDAIA’s headquarters in Makkah. The center serves as a critical hub for managing and monitoring the authority’s advanced systems and platforms. It plays a central role in improving digital services and bolstering crowd and security management in the holy sites, using an integrated system that includes the “Baseer” platform, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior. Baseer enables real-time crowd analysis using advanced data-processing algorithms.

SDAIA's partnership with the Ministry of Interior also includes the “Sawaher” and “Sawaher Qiyada” platforms, which provide intelligent analytics from surveillance feeds in the holy sites and entry points. These platforms offer real-time field monitoring and big data analytics to support decision-making and enhance operational security.

Meanwhile, the national charitable platform Ehsan is expanding its role during the Hajj season through various services and initiatives that maximize humanitarian and societal impact. Ehsan supports the Kingdom’s sacrificial program “Adahi,” enabling pilgrims and donors to authorize the platform to perform and distribute their sacrificial offerings reliably and within the prescribed timeframes.
