Online Role-playing Game 'MU Origin 2' To Launch In 2018

South Korea game maker and publisher WEBZEN Inc. unveiled the sequel for its mega hit mobile game, MU Origin, on Monday, with the official launch date in South Korea set for later this year.

MU Origin 2, the real-time massively multi player online role-playing game (MMORPG), will be available in the Google Play Store and Apple's App Store during the first half of this year, the company said.
The local company also began accepting pre registrations for the game on its official website earlier in the day, WEBZEN said. MU Origin gained a lot of popularity after its release in major countries in 2016.
It has become the No. 1 app in terms of sales both on the Google Play Store and Apple's App Store in South Korea and China.
The sequel version will be better optimized for mobile devices, offering superb graphics and improved contents for the users, by creating more warriors and tools for war, WEBZEN said.
"WEBZEN has tried to expand game genres and offer game service for more foreign users to expand its presence in the global market and increase global market share," CEO Kim Tae-young told reporters in Seoul.
WEBZEN is the Seoul-based developer and publisher of an array of exciting game titles that are slated for release in the global game market. WEBZEN has recently expanded its service to Europe and other countries by operating its global game portal with 60 million players from all over the world.
