Indonesia, Sweden Seek To Boost Cooperation On Investment, Energy

BOGOR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd May, 2017 ) : The governments of Indonesia and Sweden on Monday agreed to seek the possibility to expand cooperation in the sectors of investment, energy and environment.
Indonesian President Joko Widodo met with Swedish King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden at the Presidential Palace located in a botanical garden on the outskirts of Jakarta. President Widodo said that Indonesia and Sweden have high potential to create a stronger economic and environmental cooperation.
"Sweden is Indonesia's largest trade partner in Nordic region," Widodo said.
During his visit, the Swedish king brought representatives of 35 leading firms to explore the possibility of cooperation with Indonesian partners,according to presidential office.
On the energy sector, the two leaders discussed the way to expand cooperation on renewable energy. Several deals were inked, including the cooperation in the fields of air transport, creative economy, innovation in entrepreneurship, science and education. APP/Xinhua/qzi/ff
