Moscow, (Pakistan Point News - 1st july, 2016): Russian Emergencies Ministry plane, Il-76, was engaged in forest fire extinguishing operation in the Irkutsk region but does not go on the air for radio contact, TASS has told International media on Friday. The Russian Emergencies Ministry’s main department for the Irkutsk region confirmed that an Il-76 plane of the ministry went missing. Sources told that the aircraft was on operation to extinguish fire but within some time it lost its communication connection.
Search operation for this aircraft is underway. Sources has added that there were total 11 people on board including crew and the fire fighting experts. "At 05:34 am, Moscow time, the plane flew to the Bayanderovsky district of the Irkutsk region. At an altitude of 3,000 meters the radio contact with it was lost," the source stated. A government official told, "Aircraft, including several Yakovlev Yak planes, have been sent to the Kachugsky district search for the missing plane,"
