Football: J-League Kawasaki Beat Tokyo, Sitting Top

TOKYO, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23th july, 2016) - Kawasaki Frontale beat FC Tokyo 1-0 in the J-League first division on Saturday, after striker Yu Kobayashi headed a goal in the second half. The win left Kawasaki unbeaten in the second stage, leaving the first-stage winners Kashima Antlers behind in the overall standings. Antlers' mid-fielder Shoma Doi opened the scoring at their home game, but the first-stage champions soon allowed Urawa Red's former Southampton striker Tadanari Lee to grab two goals, giving the Reds a 1-2 win. Reds, Yokohama F-Marinos and Sagan Tosu are unbeaten after five games in the second stage. Yokohama F-Marinos ended the game in a 1-1 draw against Jubilo Iwata, after Iwata's Hayao Kawabe nabbed an equaliser midway through the second half.
Tosu defeated Kyushu rivals Avispa Fukuoka 3-2. Kashiwa Reysol's Brazilian striker Cristiano scored all three goals in a 3-2 victory against Gamba Osaka. Defending champions Sanfrecce Hiroshima beat Vissel Kobe 2-0, with Nigerian striker Peter Utaka opening the scoring in the first half. Striker Gakuto Notsuda earned Albirex Niigata the second goal, deciding a 2-1 win against Omiya Ardija. Nagoya Grampus notched up another loss as their struggles continued with a 1-3 defeat to Ventforet Kofu. Kofu's Sho Inagaki got the first goal 11 minutes into the first half and mid-fielder Yusuke Tanaka sealed the victory.
