Berlin says 'threats not helpful' on EU-Turkey migrant deal

BERLIN, , (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Nov, 2016 ) - Germany said Friday that threats are "not helpful" on the EU-Turkey migrant deal after President Recep Tayyip Erdogan warned he could drop border controls, allowing a flood of migrants into the bloc.

Chancellor Angela Merkel's spokeswoman Ulrike Demmer said the deal is in the "interest of all parties" and that "threats on either side are not helpful", adding that "where there are difficulties, we need to resolve them".
