Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) Wednesday indicated chances of rain-thunderstorm at various places of Punjab, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan during the next 24 hours

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Sep, 2017 ) : Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) Wednesday indicated chances of rain-thunderstorm at various places of Punjab, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan during the next 24 hours.

According to the synoptic situation, seasonal low was lying over north Balochistan. A westerly wave was expected to approach western parts of the country on Wednesday. Rain-thunderstorm is likely at scattered places in Kohat, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalpur, Sargodha, Zhob, Kalat divisions, FATA and Kashmir while at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan divisions, Islamabad and Gilgit Baltistan.

Mainly hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country during the next 24 hours. The rainfall (mm) recorded during the last 24 hours was Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Dir 18, Kalam 01, Gilgit-Baltistan: Hunza 02, Bunji and Bagrote Trace. The highest maximum temperatures recorded during the last 24 hours were Sukkur and Rahim Yar Khan 41 C.
