Rain Likely At Various Places Of Country: PMD

Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) Tuesday forecast rain-thunderstorm for various places of upper Punjab, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan during the next 24 hours

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Sep, 2017 ) : Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) Tuesday forecast rain-thunderstorm for various places of upper Punjab, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan during the next 24 hours.

According to the PMD, seasonal low was lying over north west Balochistan while a trough of westerly wave was affecting northern parts of the country. Rain-thunderstorm is expected at scattered places in Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalpur, Zhob, Kalat divisions, FATA, while at isolated places in upper Punjab, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan divisions, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Mainly hot and humid weather is expected for most parts of the country. The rainfall recorded during the last 24 hours was Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Pattan 17 mm, Parachinar 06, Dir 02, Gilgit- Baltistan: Bunji, Bagrote 03 and Punjab: Kasur 02. The highest maximum temperatures recorded during the last 24 hours was Sibbi 41 C, Rahim Yar Khan and Nokkundi 40 C.
