The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Saturday has predicted moist currents which would be penetrating upper parts of the country on Saturday and likely to continue during the next four days

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Aug, 2017 ) : The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Saturday has predicted moist currents which would be penetrating upper parts of the country on Saturday and likely to continue during the next four days.

A westerly wave is affecting upper parts of Pakistan and may persist during the next three days. Rain and thunderstorm with a few heavy falls are expected at scattered places in upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha divisions), upper KP (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat divisions), Islamabad, FATA,Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan and at isolated places in D.I.

Khan and Zhob divisions in the next 24 hours. Light rain/drizzle is expected at a few places in Sindh coast, the PMD said. Hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country on Saturday.

Weather in the past 24 hours The weather remained hot and humid in most parts of the country on Wednesday. However, rain and thunderstorm occurred at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Malakand, Hazara, Bannu, Zhob divisions, FAA, Islamabad,Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Total rainfall during the last 24 hours was Malamjabba 77, Dir 19, Kakul 08, Kalam 07, Parachinar, Lower Dir 05, Balakot 04, Saidu Sharif 03, Bannu 01,Punjab: Sialkot (City 43, A/P 01), Islamabad (Saidpur 32, Golra 27, Z.P 21, Bokra08), Murree 19, Rawalpindi (Shamsabad 13, Chaklala 08), M.B Din 10, Mangla 02,Jhelum 01, Kashmir: Rawalakot 12, Kotli 10, Garhi Dupatta 05,Balochistan; Zhob 06, GB: Astore, Gilgit, Skardu, Gupis 01.

The highest maximum temperatures was at Dalbandin 45�C, Bahawalpur 44�C.
