DC refutes closure of Lowri tunnel due to snowfall, rain

Deputy Commissioner Dir Upper Osman Mehsud Wednesday contradicted closure of Lowari Tunnel after rain and snowfall and said all the road in Dir Upper and Lowari Tunnel remained opened for all traffic

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Feb, 2018 ) :Deputy Commissioner Dir Upper Osman Mehsud Wednesday contradicted closure of Lowari Tunnel after rain and snowfall and said all the road in Dir Upper and Lowari Tunnel remained opened for all traffic.

He said all road including Lowari Tunnel, Shah Kot, Bravol and Kohistan to Patarak are clear for all kind of traffic and during the snowfall the tariff remained smooth. He said electricity supply to Upper Dir was uninterrupted however two areas were affected and concerned staff was deployed for restoration for power.

He said people can go to Chitral and other areas without any fear of blockage of road. He requested media to confirm any news before its dissemination.
