Cold, Dry Weather In Most Areas Of Country During Next 24 Hours

Mainly cold and dry weather is expected during the next 24 hours in most parts of the country. However rain thunderstorm with light snowfall over the hills is expected in few places in Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi divisions, Islamabad, Upper FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit- Baltistan

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Nov, 2017 ) :Mainly cold and dry weather is expected during the next 24 hours in most parts of the country. However rain thunderstorm with light snowfall over the hills is expected in few places in Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi divisions, Islamabad, Upper FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit- Baltistan.

According to a private news channel , Foggy conditions are likely to prevail at a few places in southern & central parts of Punjab during morning hours. Pakistan Meteorological Department has also said that a shallow westerly wave is still affecting upper parts of the country and likely to persist over the next two to three days.

During the last 24 hours, rain-thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills occurred at scattered places in Rawalpindi, Zhob divisions, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA, Islamabad and Kashmir while at isolated places in Lahore divisions.

The lowest temperature in the country were recorded at Kalat with minus four degree centigrade, Skardu minus two degree, Quetta and Malamjabba minus one, and Kalam zero degree.During the last 24 hours rains lashed many areas of the country. In Kashmir, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, and Gari Dupatta cities received eight, six, and 4 millimeters of rain respectively.
