Pakistan Meterological Department (PMD) has predicted on Friday that smog and temperature in upper areas of the country will witness a decline in next week
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Nov, 2017 ) :Pakistan Meterological Department (PMD) has predicted on Friday that smog and temperature in upper areas of the country will witness a decline in next week.
According to Private news channel , Dense fog continues to envelope Punjab including Lahore reducing visibility to zero and affecting the flow of traffic. Flight operation at Allama Iqbal International Airport and other cities remained shut throughout the night while passengers at railway station had to wait for long hours as trains arrived late due to heavy fog.
Various sections of the Motorway were also closed for traffic.
According to Motorway police, M-I from Peshawar to Swabi, M-2 from Lillah to Lahore and M-3 from Pindi Bhattian to Faisalabad, Gojra remain closed due to dense fog whereas similar situation occurred at National Highway.
Meanhwile, the road users have been advised to contact Helpline 130 to avoid any inconvenience.Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa areas also remained under foggy environment. In the next 24 hours, mainly dry weather is expected in most parts of the country.
Dense foggy/smoggy conditions are expected in plain areas of Punjab and foggy over D.I khan, Peshawar and Sukkur divisions during night and morning hours.
