Although most of this new smart jacket is like the usual Levi’s travel jacket but what makes it distinct is the incursion of conductive fabric- named as interactive denin.

Last year, Google made an extensive decision to collaborate with Levi’s to manufacture these smart jackets under the Jacquard project. Even before that, in 2015, Google introduced new technologies under the banner of project salvo and Project jacquard in order to incorporate connected devices in clothes. But now this year, project Jacquard will make a debut by introducing its first product- the smart jacket of course.
Now looking into the details of the Jacket’s stuff out of the curiosity, the clothing material has small electronic circuits stitched within. Touch sensitivity can be observed in the jacket’s sleeves. And if you are wondering about the cuff-links, the necessity would be fulfilled by cuff-link -style- Bluetooth device attached in place of the sleeve’s buttons. So if you get bored of a song during your journey and don’t want to bother yourself, just touch your sleeve and the next song will please you automatically.
Even you will bear no pain of changing the volume, receiving a call or rejecting it, as you can do all of this with just a gesture of your hand!Furthermore, the jacket will vibrate to make you conscious about an incoming message or phone call, so much ease at one place! And above all, especially for all the OCDs, you can also wash this jacket for sure, but do not forget to remove the Bluetooth device before that or it’ll ruin the Google and Levi’s effort.
