The day is marked to highlight the ways in which the engagement of young people at local, national and global levels is enriching national and multilateral institutions.
Theme of this year's International Youth Day is, “Youth Engagement for Global Action”.
Taking to Twitter, German Ambassador to Pakistan Bernhard Schlagheck said: "64% of Flag of Pakistan population is under 30. To provide them with quality education will be crucial for country's growth. Since 2010, around 1100 Flag of Pakistanstudents made it to Flag of Germany to study under DAAD scheme alone.We'll continue such programs that empower the youth here. Happy #InternationalYouthDay!,".
Germany is running global movement for education and supporting young generations around the world to help them become leaders in their respective fields.
Many other countries including the US and the UK are also running international programs for development of the young generations around the globe.
