DG Social Welfare Visits Children Home, Darul Aman

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th july, 2016) : Director General Social Welfare Waheed Akhtar Ansari visited Social Welfare Department institutions including Children Home Dar-ul-Aman, Sanatzaar and Nigehban on Friday. During his visit, he gave special directions to the officials to adopt special measure for care, protection and rehabilitation of destitute children and women residing in the institutions of Social Welfare Department. He said that the Punjab government was taking special interest and initiatives for the protection of marginalised sections of society.
The DG also issued directions for taking special measure regarding the anti-dengue campaign. While visiting Sanatzar (women skill development centre), he said that the Social Welfare Department need to review the existing content of the training courses and special focus should be on market demand and the skill development courses. District Officer Social Welfare was specially assigned the task to monitor the progress of the institutions and project and submit report on regular basis.
