CHITRAL, (Pakistan Point News - 29th july, 2016) : Two Kalashi shepherds were killed on Friday inside Pakistani border allegedly by Afghans who also took away their herd of hundreds of sheep, said spokesman of Chitral Scout. He said apparently the two shepherds were killed on showing resistance, adding the incident of stealing herds of sheep whether forcefully or in the dark nights was previously also reported from Bahook in Kalash valley located near Pak-Afghan border.
SHO police station Baboriyat told the two herdsmen were identified as Wali Khan and Noor Ahmed of Kalash tribe and residents of Karkar village. They were killed by gun fires at night, he said, adding the site of killing was a difficult terrain due to which the dead bodies were brought on foot after seven hours travelling. The locals blamed Taliban across the border for killing the two Kalash men, however, officially the involvement of Taliban could not be ascertained.
