SI Of Mughalpura Police Station Arrested

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th july, 2016) : Sub-Inspector Hayat of Mughalpura police station, accused of assaulting a woman, was arrested on Friday while the police were conducting raids to arrest his two other accomplices. According to police, a woman resident of Ghaziabad here alleged that a police officials abducted her Thursday late night from her house and took her to a furniture showroom, situated at Baghbanpura, and assaulted her.

The woman said that they also tortured her, and marks of torture were visible on her hands and shoulders. Meanwhile, SP Cantonment Ibadat Nisar said that investigation was underway and a medical test of the woman had been conducted at Kot Khawaja Saeed Hospital.

He said that further action would be taken against the accused after receiving the medical report.
