Sindh Assembly Elects 27th Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah

Karachi,(Pakistan Point News - 29 July,2016) : Syed Murad Ali Shah has won the election and has been elected as 27th Chief Minister of Sindh. He was Pakistan Peoples Party nominated candidate. He got 88 votes and Khurram Sher Zaman nominated candidate of Pakistan Tehrik e Insaaf got 3 votes in the election. So Syed Murad Ali Shah has been declared successful. He is 27th Chief Minister of Sindh Assembly. Later today, Sindh Governor Ishratul Ibad will administer oath to the newly-elected Chief Minister at CM House in Karachi.

Murad Ali Shah was earlier elected in the Sindh Assembly in 2002 and completed his tenure until 2007. He served as the project director of Karachi Fish Harbour Authority before getting elected as the member of assembly for the first time. His father, late Syed Abdullah Shah had served the province in capacity of Chief Minister, Speaker Sindh Assembly and Deputy Speaker. He was also elected a senator in 1991 and remained a member of the House until 1993. During his address to Assembly, he thanked his companions for their trust on him to elect him as Chief Minister.
