6-day Anti-polio Drive Concludes In Karachi

KARACHI, (Pakistan Point News - APP - 29th july, 2016) : The six-day anti-polio drive in Karachi concludes on Saturday. An official of the local administration said on Friday that a total of 865,000 children under the age of five would be administered polio drops during the drive. He said that on the fifth day on Friday, Commissioner Karachi along with Sindh Secretary Health, Ahmed Bux Narejo, visited District Malir. The Commissioner was informed in a briefing that during the first four days of the campaign over 579,000 children were administered polio drops. A meeting reviewed the impact of the drive and expressed satisfaction on the decline in number of left over. It was decided that efforts be further intensified to administer polio drops to the left over children.
