Pakistan's Liquid Foreign Reserves Position

KARACHI, Feb 2 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 02nd Feb, 2017 ) : The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US$ 22,434.9 million on January 27 2017, said a State Bank of Pakistan statement here on Thursday.

It said that the break-up of the foreign reserves position is as under: i) Foreign reserves held by the SBP: US$ 17,593.

8 million ii) Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks: US$ 4,841.1 million iii) Total liquid foreign reserves: US$ 22,434.9 million.

During the week ending January 27 2017, SBP's reserves decreased by US$ 790 million to US$ 17,594 million. The decrease is mainly attributed to external debt servicing, including US$ 500 million loan repayment to State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE), China, it said.
