Efforts Being Taken To Provide Better Health Facilities To People In Attock: CEO DHA

ATTOCK, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 02nd Feb, 2017 ) : Chief Executive Officer (CEO) District Health Authority, Dr Javed Iqbal has said that all efforts are being made to provide better health facilities to the people living in urban and rural areas.
He said this while talking to newsmen here at his office and Medical Superintendent, Dr Sultan Mehmood was also present on the occasion. He said that in the district, one District Hospital Quarter (DHQ), Five Taluka Hospital Quarters (THQ), Five Rural Health Centers (RHCs) and more than fifty hospitals are serving the ailing humanity.
In case of any emergency all facilities are being provided free of cost, he said adding under Mother and Child Health Care, 17 Basic Health Units (BHUs) are providing round the clock health service which has minimized mortality rate.
He said that the performance of THQ Fatehjang, Attock and Hazro are better than other THQs of the district. Asfandyar Hospital Attock is providing health facilities to one thousand patients in OPD and 400 patients in Emergency department each day. He added that the budget of this hospital has also been increased to Rs 46 million.
