Navy War College Team Visits FPCCI

KARACHI, Feb. 2 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 02nd Feb, 2017 ) : A 100-member delegation of Navy War College visited the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) on study tour.
Led by Commodore Imran Nisar, the delegation was welcomed by FPCCI President Zubair F. Tufail, said FPCCI release here on Thursday. FPCCI President gave a comprehensive briefing on the role of FPCCI for promoting trade and industry, and development in the country.
During question-answer session, there were various issues raised by the participants of Navel War College particularly with reference to bilateral trade and economic relations with neighbouring countries.
Besides, they questioned about the role of FPCCI in ECO Chamber of Commerce and Industry and on other regional platforms, identification and removal of non-tariff barriers, FPCCI's contribution towards transformation of the impact of the global reduction of oil prices to the masses and its impact on national economy, role of FPCCI in national budget and economic policies, tax-to-GDP, law and order situation, economic crises, revival of economy, new market research to increase the exports of the country and suggestions and recommendation to ease of doing business etc.
FPCCI panel comprising President FPCCI Zubair F. Tufail, Vice Presidents Mirza Ishtiaq Baig and Irfan Ahmed Sarwana, Dr. Mirza Ikhtiar Baig and Acting Secretary General, Maher Alam Khan responded.
The participants also had an extensive debate on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Zubair F. Tufail said that CPEC was the game changer not only for Pakistan but for the entire region including Iran, Afghanistan and CIS countries.
