Researcher Doctors Urged To Learn Scientific Writing

LAHORE, Feb 2 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 02nd Feb, 2017 ) : Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute (PGMI) and Ameer ud Din Medical College Professor Dr Ghiyas un Nabi Tayyab has urged that research doctors must learn scientific writing to get their research papers published in international journals.
He expressed these views while addressing a research workshop on the topic of Scientific Writing in Medical Journals held at Lahore General Hospital for Post Graduate students, here on Thursday.
He urged the doctors, who were doing research in various medical fields, to must aware the world about their work as it would bridge the distances between Pakistani experts and the rest of the world.
Addressing the participants, he said, "Our medical institutions and organisations got their recognition and good rating by publishing of their research papers in international journals".
He said that young doctors could find better opportunities towards their career and research work and they could well plan their future.
He stressed upon the writers of the research papers to pay special attention on the language and style of research papers in order to match the international standard of publications. The Principal also lauded the efforts of the workshop's organisers.
The event, organised by incharge Gynea department Unit II professor Farhat Naz and her team, was attended by Head of Community Medicine department, King Edward Medical University Dr Saira Afzal and young doctors of various hospitals.
