Rescue 1122 Receives 12 Ambulances From Health Department

RAWALPINDI, Feb 1 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 01st Feb, 2017 ) : Punjab Emergency Service Rescue 1122 Rawalpindi on Wednesday received 12 ambulances from the Punjab Health Department. The ambulances were previously deployed at allied hospitals of Rawalpindi district and the provincial government had directed the health department to hand over the same to Rescue 1122.
The Punjab government has taken initiatives to improve patient refer and patient shifting system from hospital to hospital across the province. In future, the Rescue 1122 will maintain patient refer system and shifting of referred patients from hospital to hospital from allied hospitals of Rawalpindi district.

Rizwan Naseer in this regard has given directives to all District Emergency Officers of Punjab to provide and maintain best services of Rescue 1122 as always to improve patient refer system and shifting of referred patients from hospital to hospital in Rawalpindi district.
According to Rescue-1122 spokesman, Rawalpindi Rescue-1122 dealt 2092 emergencies calls and rescued 2070 victims in different emergencies. Out of 2092 emergency calls responded in Rawalpindi during January, 633 were Road Traffic Accidents, 1149 Medical emergencies, 95 Fire incidents, 49 Crime Calls, one Drowning Case, two Building collapse incidents, seven Explosions/Bomb Blasts, 156 were special rescue operations and miscellaneous emergencies.
