35000 patients provided medical care under 'Sihat Sahulat Program': Report

PESHAWAR, Feb 1 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 01st Feb, 2017 ) : About 35000 deserving individuals of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have so far been provided free medical treatment facilities of Rs 63 millions in various designated hospitals of both public and private sectors under Social Health Protection Scheme (Sihat Sahulat Program), said a report on Wednesday.

The report said that about 35,000 individuals had been provided free medical treatment facilities under first phase of the program launched in four selected district of the province including Chitral, Malakand, Mardan and Kohat.

Around ten thousands individuals have been provided free treatment facilities in second phase of program recently launched in entire province. According to details as many as 487 individual have benefited the free treatment facility in district Chitral, 5979 in Kohat, 12071 in Malakand and 16187 in district Mardan.

Similarly under the second phase of the program, 1271 individual have so far been provided free treatment services in district Charsadda, 692 in Kohat, 2180 in Mardan, 1806 in Nowshera, 2345 in Peshawar, 1964 in Swabi, 37 in Harripur, 19 in Hangu , six in Mansehra, five in Abbottabad and four in Battagram during first phase of the program.

The report further reveals that more than 45000 beneficiaries of the program have so far visited the designated hospitals out of which 3648 case were related to surgery, 5120 medical, 117 delivery and 96 cases were of C-Section. APP/mds/ahn
