US Consul General Visits Port Qasim

KARACHI, Feb 1 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 01st Feb, 2017 ) : The US Consul General in Karachi, Grace Shelton, visited Port Qasim and saw the impressive port operation first hand, says a US Consulate statement issued on Wednesday.
It said that during this trip she also met with country representative for American company Excelerate, Mohammed Rajpar, and the Engro elengy Terminal Manager, Amir Mahmud, to learn about the operation of Pakistan's first LNG terminal - a U.S.- Pakistani partnership.
"Excelerate's and Engro's state-of-the-art LNG terminal, supplying 15% of Pakistan's gas requirement, is impressive," said U.
S. Consul General Grace Shelton. "These amazing contributions demonstrate the United States' continued support to Pakistan's energy sector and economic development", she further remarked.
Excelerate's operations in this area house the country's first Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) and as of todate, increased its capacity to play an even greater role in Pakistan's energy sector.
