Efforts underway to arrest accused in setting girl on fire: Police

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st Jan, 2017 ) : One of the accused of setting a 9-year-old girl, Irum, on fire in Ratta Amral area had been taken into custody by police while another accused of the five got bail from a court of law here Tuesday.

SSP (Operations) Irfan Tariq Khan said the police had arrested one of the accused Muhammad Arif and efforts were underway to arrest the remaining accused. The Chief Justice Supreme Court Mian Saqib Nisar had taken suo moto notice of the inhuman incident and the police were investigating the case. The accused and victims were said to be relatives.
