ISLAMABAD,(APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th july,2016) : Former Pakistan Blind cricket team captain Abdul Razzaq will assist the visually-impaired players of Sri Lanka for the World Blind Twenty20 scheduled to be held in India in January next year. The World Blind T20 was scheduled to be held in India this November but was postponed due to some changes in the administrative affairs of Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI). Talking to APP, Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) Secretary Bilal Satti said the Sri Lanka team, which recently played a T20 and ODI series against Pakistan, had asked them to provide the services of a Pakistani coach. "Razzaq will be teaching the techniques of the game to the Sri Lankan players in September in a camp of 10 days," he said.

Speaking about the national team's preparations for the World Blind Twenty20, Satti said the camp to select the national team will be held in September but the venue will be decided later. "A blend of experienced and young players will be selected in the team," he said adding new captain will also be named for the mega event. It may be mentioned that the first World Blind T20 was held in Bangalore, India in 2012 in which India defeated Pakistan by 29 runs in the final.

However Pakistan has won two back-to-back World Cups in 2002 and 2006.
