5 Reports Of Standing Bodies Presented In Senate

ISLAMABAD,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th july,2016) : As many as five reports of standing committees including Cabinet Secretariat and Functional Committee on Human Rights were presented in the Senate on Friday. Chairman Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat Muhammad Talha Mehmood presented reports of the committee regarding the flaws in the design of runways of new Islamabad Airport, mismanagement in the affairs of Polyclinic and PIMS and miserable condition of the animals and specially the elephant in the Marghazar/Margalla Zoo Islamabad.
Senator Taj Afridi on behalf of Chairperson Standing Committee on Functional Committee on Human Rights Nasreen Jalil submitted the committee reports on the non-settlement of longstanding issue of Okara Farms and incident of burning alive of the women folk in the country and to suggest mechanism for curbing this menace by providing provision of the Chapter "Offences against Women" in the Pakistan Penal Code.
