KP govt decides to launch Metro bus project in Peshawar

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st Jan, 2017 ) : Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Pervez Khattak has said that the KP government has decided to launch metro bus project in Peshawar.

Talking to Radio Pakistan, Pervez Khattak said that the project would be completed at a cost of 40 billion rupees.

The CM said the project must be launched and completed under comprehensive planning so that it could prove successful and durable in all respects, facilitate local people, solve transporting problems of Peshawarites and add to beauty of the city.

He also directed that all bus stands in Peshawar should be shifted outside the city. Meanwhile, Pervez Khattak said that a number of hydel projects will be launched to produce 3,100 megawatt electricity.
