Football: West Ham eye Olympic Stadium boost after Euro setback

PARIS,(APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th july,2016) - West Ham will play their first competitive game at their new Olympic Stadium next week looking to overturn a 2-1 defeat they suffered Thursday against Slovenian minnows NK Domzale in their Europa League qualifier.

Matic Crnic gave Domzale the lead in the 11th minute of the third qualifying round first leg tie from the penalty spot after Havard Nordtveit had handled the ball. Mark Noble levelled, also from the spot, just seven minutes later for the Hammers following a foul on Winston Reid. Crnic hit the winner in the 49th minute with a smart drive leaving the Londoners having to play catch-up in the second leg at the Olympic Stadium next Thursday. West Ham vacated their long-time Upton Park home in east London to move into the main arena used for the 2012 London Olympics.
