Punjab Agri Officers To Meet Ginning Factories' Association Reps

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Jan, 2017 ) : Punjab Agriculture officers will meet the ginning factories' association representatives and create awareness regarding the presence of worms and other cotton insects in ginning waste.
According to the agriculture department sources on Monday, March 31 deadline has been set across the province to overcome the presence of worms in ginning waste.
Those factories had been warned where the presence of worms and cotton insects were witnessed in the waste material and have been directed to immediately dispose of the waste, otherwise legal action would be taken against them.
The purpose of agriculture department behind the initiative was to protect the coming cotton crop from insects attack, sources added. The agriculture department officers had contacted the owners of ginning factories and made them aware of the current situation.
