First Convocation Of SMIU On Feb 18

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Jan, 2017 ) : The first convocation of the Sindh Madressah-tul-Islam University (SMIU) will be held on February 18. This was announced by the Vice-Chancellorof the institution, Dr.
Muhammad Ali Shaikh, here on Monday. He was chairing the meeting of senior management of SMIU, which was held to review the arrangments for the First Convocation of SMIU. Dr Muhammad Ali Shaikh said that the degrees will be distributed amongst 100 graduates of five departments of SMIU i.e.
Department of business Administration, Department of Computer Science, Department of Media Studies, Department of Environmental Sciences and Department of education.
He said that SMIU had received its charter on 16th February 2012.
In the meeting, a five member Steering Committee was also constituted for finalizing the preparations of the convocation. Dean Faculty of Business Administration Pro. Dr. Aurangzeb will be its convener, while Prof.
Dr. Syed Asif Ali, Dean Faculty of Computer Science, Director Examinations Shakeel Ahmed Abro, Registrar Gulzar Ahmed Mughal and Ghulam Mustafa Shaikh, Director Department of Planning and Development will be its members. It was also decided that the prominent personalities of various fields of the country will also address the convocation.
