Administrator Urges KMC Officers To Show Better Performance

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th july, 2016) : KMC Administrator Laeeq Ahmed has said that citizens of Karachi looks up to KMC for resolving their civic problems, KMC officers should, therefore has the duty to provide better facilities to them by using their capabilities for the improvement and progress of the city.
He expressed these views while addressing as chief guest in a ceremony held by the KMC Officers Welfare Association (KMCOWA) in the KMC sports Complex, said a statement on Thursday. President Jamil Farooqui and General Secretary Bilal Manzar of KMCOWA also addressed the ceremony. Members of the association in large number attended the programme where various prizes besides an Umrah ticket was also given to the members through balloting. Laeeq Ahmed said all issues have to be resolved through mutual understanding and negotiations.
Some of the KDA officers and staff indulged in improper behavior when they forcefully obtained different offices of Civic Centre for their own use.
He said he himself want to solve all such issues legally and that's why no resistance was offered by KMC at this attitude of KDA officers and staff.
He said that he has requested the provincial government to declare the transition period and stop these few retired people from what they were doing in Civic Centre under the disguise of the Union. The Administrator said he wished that a transition committee comprising sensible people should be nominated after declaring the transition period which could reinstate these two organizations as separate entities in a good manner and without any conflict. He said KMC officers should make sure that they are running their organization respectfully.
We can perform well under difficult conditions and restore the trust of people of Karachi on us, he added.
