SC Adjourns NA-110 Election Matter Till First Week Of August

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th july, 2016) : The Supreme Court on Thursday adjourned hearing of the National Assembly constituency NA-110 Sialkot election matter case till first week of August.
The apex court adjourned hearing of the case on the application of Farooq H. Naek counsel for Federal Defense Minister Khawaja Asif seeking adjournment. The division bench of the apex court comprising Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan and Justice Tariq Pervaiz heard the case.
During the course of proceedings, the court was informed that Farooq H.
Naek had pleaded the court to adjourn hearing of the case. However, Babar Awan counsel for the opponent candidate Usman Dar appeared before the court and pleaded the court for early hearing of the case.
He said that the Election Commission of Pakistan had submitted forensic report about the constituency. He said that the ECP held Returning Officer responsible for missing of the counter files and election material bags. Later, hearing of the case was adjourned.
