SBP To Organise Sports Events To Celebrate Independence Day

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th july, 2016) :- Sports board Punjab (SBP) will organize as many as 15 men and women sports events in Lahore to celebrate the Independence Day in a befitting manner. All the preparations and arrangements have been completed to hold the sports activities across the province.
Sports Board Punjab has also issued special directives to all the District Sports Officers (DSOs) of Punjab to hold Independence Day sports competition in their respective districts, said a spokesman of SBP here on Thursday. According to schedule, the women and men hockey championship will be staged at National Hockey Stadium on August 3 and 8 respectively.
The Independence Day volleyball contest will be conducted at Gymnasium Hall Nishtar Park Sports Complex on August 9. Gymnasium Hall Nishtar Park Sports Complex will also host four events - badminton (men & women) and table tennis (men & women) on August 10. On August 11, as many as seven events Tug-of-War (7-a-side), weightlifting (men & women), powerlifting (men & women) and arm-wrestling (men & women) will be organized at Gymnasium Hall Nishtar Park Sports Complex.
The Independence Day cricket competition will be played at Gaddafi Stadium on August 12.
