PHF Announces Management Of National Women Hockey Team

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th july, 2016) :- Pakistan Hockey Federation has announced the new management of the national women hockey team by appointing former olympians Saeed Khan and Muhammad Usman as the manager and coach respectively. Their immediate international assignment is the 4th Women's Asian Hockey Federation Cup in Bangkok, Thailand, to be held from October 1 to 9, said a spokesman of PHF here on Thursday.
Saeed was a member of two World Cup winning teams, 1978 & 1982.
He was also the coach of the Pakistan team when the national team last won the World Cup in 1994. Usman was the member of that victorious side of 1994 World Cup. Usman has been serving as the coach of the national women side since 2012. "They will be observing the performance of the players during the 29th National Women's Hockey Championship to be played at Naseer Bunda Hockey Stadium, Islamabad from August 5-12," he added.
