Indian Occupied Kashmir Has Been Turned Into Military Garrison: Mufti Nasir

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Jan, 2017 ) : Deputy Grand Mufti, Nasir-ul-Islam, in Indian occupied Kashmir, has said that India has turned the entire territory into a military garrison and the people are being treated as prisoners.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam in a statement issued in Srinagar said the people of Indian occupied Kashmir are facing hardships due to the celebration of Republic Day by India as the forces personnel are frisking and checking people in Srinagar and other main cities and towns of the territory.
He expressed serious concern over the arrest and harassment of innocent Kashmiri youth and added that even they were booked under draconian law, Public Safety Act (PSA).
He said that India was suppressing the voice of Kashmiris they were raising for their democratic right to self-determination but would never succeed in its nefarious designs.
Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam said that the settlement of lingering Kashmir dispute according to the will of Kashmiir people was imperative for bringing permanent peace in the region. Meanwhile, Hurriyet leader, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori in a statement paid glowing tributes to the victims of Handwara massacre, and demanded probe into all such massacres in the territory.
