JI, PPP MPAs Exchange Verbal Clash In KP PA

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Jan, 2017 ) : Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) and PPP MPAs from Dir Upper exchanged verbal clash and non-parliamentary words on the floor of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly on Thursday.

After the resuming of the house proceedings after Aser' prayers and tea break when the PTI MPA Fazal Elahi was moving his privilege motion against the Executive Engineer (XEN), Communication and Work (C&W) Department Aziz Khan for using derogatory language when the PPP legislator from Dir Upper Sahibzada Sanaullah pin pointed the lack of quorum in the house.

The act of the PPP legislator infuriated the JI legislator from the same district accused opposition of taking no interest in the proceedings of the house.

He even went on using non-parliamentary language against Sahibzada Sanaullah, who in a tit for tat response said that the JI legislator should not consider the house as his personal property.

After the exchange of words the JI legislator even tried to rush towards Sahibzada Sanaullah, but some treasury benches MPAs including senior minister Sikandar Hayat Khan Sherpao and assembly staff stopped him from doing so while other MPAs pacify the PPP MPA.

In the meanwhile, the Deputy Speaker directed the Secretary Assembly for count and announced the adjournment of the house proceedings till 3pm Friday.
