FRANKFURT, (Pakistan Point News - 28th july, 2016) - Inflation in Germany picked up slightly in July, driven by rising prices for food and services, a preliminary estimate released on Thursday showed. The consumer price index -- used as a national inflation yardstick -- saw a 0.4-percent increase in July compared with the same month the previous year, the Federal statistics office Destatis reported. Prices had increased slightly faster in July compared with June, when the same figure stood at 0.3 percent.
