LAHORE, (Pakistan Point News - APP - 24th Jan, 2017 ) : Commissioner Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab Afzaal Bhatti on Tuesday said OPC was striving for the welfare of Overseas Pakistanis and so far, half of the received complaints had been settled. Presiding over a departmental meeting, he said on the initiative of OPC Punjab, several federal government institutions including NAB, Ombudsman secretariat and Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) had nominated their focal persons to coordinate with OPC.
He said joint collaboration of OPC and these agencies would help solving the issues faced by the Overseas Pakistanis relating to Federal Ministries, Divisions and Institutions. Afzaal Bhatti said with a view to early redress the expats complaints pertaining to federal government, OPC Punjab had developed close and continuous liaison with Federal Government agencies. The enhanced cooperation with these important institutions would provide better service-delivery to the Pakistanis living abroad. He said the cooperation between OPC and other federal government institutions would yield positive results regarding solution of the grievances of Overseas Pakistanis. The meeting also reviewed different complaints of Overseas Pakistanis and issued necessary instructions to the quarters concerned to solve them at the earliest. APP/mnb/zqr/ati � 21:56/22:08/22:08
