World Bank Delegation Meets DC

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jan, 2017 ) : Deputy Commissioner Salman Ghani has said that district administration was taking measures for creating investment friendly environment for promotion of business activities in the district.
He expressed these views during a meeting with World Bank's delegation at his office here Tuesday. The delegation was comprised Tim Vickery Advisor Public Private Dialogue World Bank Group and Muhammad Usman from Planning and Development Punjab Resource Management.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (general) Khalid Masood Faroka and other officers were also present on the occasion. Welcoming the delegation, the Deputy Commissioner apprised about industrial and business activities in the district and told them about the coordination between district administration and business community.
He said that establishment of Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development and Management Company (FIEDMC) in M-3 Industrial Estate Sahianwala would help in strengthening national economy and resolving the unemployment issue.
Tim Vickery said that World Bank Group currently visiting Punjab province and seeking guidance and awareness about online FIEDMC mechanism by holding meetings with stakeholders in public and private sectors. He said that the aim at their visit is to review the step taken for better investment environment for local as well as foreign investors.
