Enquiry Recommends FIR, Suspension Against Officials For Negligence

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th july, 2016) : An inquiry conducted on directives of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has recommended registration of FIRs and suspension of officers, responsible for negligence leading to loss of lives by electrocution.
The Prime Minister had directed to identify those responsible for the gross negligence, which caused death of two innocent persons in Lahore. Muhammad Azeem and Ms Kanwal died because of breakage of a Low Tension Power Line on July 22 in Kot Lakhpat Division on Anum Road.
A third person was injured when electricity meters installed on a pole caught fire.
The inquiry report submitted to the Prime Minister identified officials whose carelessness caused losses of precious human lives.
The inquiry report recommended disciplinary action along with registration of FIRs against Feeder In-charge Mirza Tariq Baig and Assistant Manager (Operations) Samin Gohar. It also recommended suspension along with initiation of disciplinary proceedings against Deputy Manager (Operations) Aqeel Zafar Sulehri.
