IGP Suspends DSP, IO On Partial Investigation

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Jan, 2017 ) : Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Nasir Khan Durrani has suspended a DSP and Investigation Officer (IO) on faulty and partial investigation in a murder case and ordered further departmental inquiry against them.

A police press release said here Monday that a citizen from Mansehra had submitted an application to the IGP wherein he complained about faulty and partial investigation in the murder of his father.

In order to ascertain facts about the content of application the IGP constituted a committee to enquire the allegations and fix responsibility.

The enquiry committee in its finding report substantiated the allegations and recommended for strict action against both of police officers.

The IGP in light of the report of the enquiry committee suspended DSP headquarter, Hafeez-ur-Rahman and investigation officer Sub Inspector Anwar Khan with immediate effect and ordered further departmental enquiry against them for severe punishment.
